SELECTION GUIDE

There are over a dozen different sizes of Comet windmills available Manufacturers guarantee their mills ONLY if they are properly erected to work a certain size of pump at the maximum height of suction and lift, or elevation as it is termed, which is specified in their pumping tables.

Not only are the suction and delivery elevations important, but details of lengths of pipes, layout of plant, and of course, the quantity of water per 10-hour day, are required to enable the manufacturer to supply the correct sizes of mill and pump to give long satisfactory service.
